Painting was based from a picture I took in Japan while walking on Goshikinuma's trail.

This is my first oil painting and was done while in a workshop with Morris Wiener. He helped me a great amount so I would actually consider this a collaboration between us. He was a great help and I learned many wonderful techniques while in his presence that I can work towards applying in future oil paitings.

WOW!!! You done a really good job with this!...We didn't do oils that much in school...we did a crash course cos our stupid PMS teacher was behind in our course. But it looks beautiful.

I've seen some oils that are really thick layers...and it takes so long to dry *___*;

Thanks!! Yeah I can understand that, just the little we did it was so messy lol we kept getting remided to watch what we were touching. Ah, I hate that when teachers get behind, thats what they have a syllabus for, for us and for them. Yesh! The damned thing still isnt dry lol. I asked the lady I get taught by on fridays and she said some times it even takes weeks *headdesk*

Yeah....we'd end up with oil paint or whatever we were working on one our clothes....faces, hands etc...o_O in college we'd go to the cafeteria covered in stuff and just eat our food...no washing hands etc o_O;;;;

But yeah depending on how thick you put the oil paint down it can take weeks and sometimes even months @___@;...quite scarey to think about really.
