Our first ever Skribble community contest challenged you to take three randomly sketched lines, look at them creatively and make something incredible. We were so impressed by the range of entries we received, from undersea creatures, to fierce robots, to mystical lands and more! We loved seeing your creativity displayed in full force, especially in celebration of 11 devious years of art. Well done, one and all!

From our 25 Semi-Finalists, our judges narrowed down the entries to the top three outstanding pieces. Check out how these three deviants used the same skribble to create three amazing and diverse works!

Why is everyone wigging out about it only being digital artists that won? Why does it matter? It's all art, regardless. They won because the contest holder thought that their art was the best. Simple as that.

Wow those are really good congrats!

im kinda sad that none of the winners were traditional artists, but that is a matter of style and preference not really biase

Well, considering that all of the prizes were Tablets, I'd say it was for the better.

Why do some books get published that are bad? Same principle, they aren't being biased! They just liked the digital arts better! No biggie! Personally I do both but I only submit my digital art. It's kinda rude to think the judges are biased. In any case, good job winners! My rant is over now. :D

Yes I understand that the prices are aimed to digital artists and therefore no traditional winners yada yada yada but is there going to be a contest where its aimed for all kind of media? I mostly see traditional art win when it is only required ... same with DD's Traditional doesn't get same atention :(
(no i'm not jealous or sad or something I didn't even participate in the contest haha)

You guys... just... ugh. I can't believe people would sink so low as to say such terrible things about other people's entries. SO WHAT digital pieces won? THE PRIZE WAS A TABLET. What's a traditional artist going to do with a tablet? Plus, it's a little obvious that a few of you are just bitter that you didn't win. If you want to complain, go for it. Just do it in a way that doesn't put down other people's hard work. It's kind of childish, but the golden rule, remember? Don't say it about someone else's art if you wouldn't want it said about yours.

PLEASE. We're a community. We're supposed to support each other.

That's all I got. Have a nice day. :)

Personally, I like the second place entry the most. If it weren't for the fact that this was a contest, I wouldn't have been able to tell where the scribbles were.

Urgh, people really need to stop. -.- Yes, you did work for a long time on your piece. That's cool. So did eeeeeeeveryone else. The winning entries are great. Yes, they are digital art. Beautiful art can be made digitally or traditionally. Please stop whining about traditional art not winning, it's really easy to tell that you're just upset that you didn't win, that's no need to take it out on everyone else. Plus, the prizes at least were more geared toward digital artists anyways. There's my two cents, now I shall leave.
1 more 'mad' !! hahaha

Why they support ALWAYS digitalart more than traditionalart? Because the effects are better?! I spent hours on my Artpieces and I draw traditional and get not many faves because it is traditional???? I think at least the staff should support both medias in the same way! And they should not choose a winning piece after how many faves this piece have...

Because this contest was aimed at digital artists? Considering the prize was a tablet, not something a traditional artist uses. Only makes sense for them to choose a digital piece to win.

Also, you're not a traditional artist. Your gallery is mostly stamps and recolored icons. Digital work. So please don't complain that you don't get favorites on your traditional pieces when you don't do traditional art.

I have a second Profile. ^^ There are the traditional pices. ^^
And you are right with the prices. But there are always the same, a tablet, grfik pen, ...
NocturnalSupremacyxX's avatar you should have won because of how many favs your piece received? Or are you trying to say that THEY shouldn't have won because of how many favs they received? Either way that makes absolutely no sense.
BlackArticuno's avatar
I think when your pic have more faves you chance is bigger to win. If you are unknown with less faves and so on your chance is small to win a big contest.
obturatedAcquisition's avatar
your argument is invalid because your icon has a pony in it.
NocturnalSupremacyxX's avatar
And yours is invalid because you're a moron.
obturatedAcquisition's avatar
Ooooh wow. Ya' singed my rear there with those sick burns.

NocturnalSupremacyxX's avatar
Please don't take it as an insult, it was just an observation hon.

There she goes again.

You bronies/ho-nies sure do get upset when people insult your fandom.
