I CAN'T BACKGROUND FOR MY LIIIIIFE T^T

There are things I like about this picture, and things I don't like. Like the background. And the fact that it took me FOREVER AND A DAY to get the ref for my first bought Fusion up. Seriously, it was my FIRST Fusion AND the first Pokemon I bought from a clutch, and all the other refs for the Pokemon after it were put up. _{I'm so sorry, Ryu.... ; v ;}

But anyway, this is the last ref I needed to do before all my Pokemon were reffed. So thank God/Arceus for that! He was a pain in the BUTT to draw, much less find a pose for. _{Also guess the reference for his name, and you get an internet cookie~! XD}

Personality:
Ryu is a dedicated fighter, wanting nothing more than to battle against the strongest of fighters. He prefers to test someone's ability through battle, rather than give just a simple greeting, which causes him to get into a little bit of trouble. The Chimchar loves and lives to fight, always wanting to strengthen himself and test his abilities in different ways to get stronger. However, he tends to take his training too far and sometimes puts himself at risk physically with his methods. He respects those who are strong and tend to battle and train hard. All in all, he's a decent enough Pokemon to be around. Just don't test his patience or do something he deems as dishonorable. Then you're looking for an ass-whoopin'.
Ryu gets along rather well with the other Pokemon of the ranch; he finds Angelica bearable at times, Travis is seen as a good Pokemon to go to if he's feeling down, Arita and Lenny are Pokemon that Ryu feels he needs to protect, and Dmitri and he are the closest since the Deino likes to battle with him and doesn't hold back. Which is something Ryu admires in a fighter.
But Dusa tends to get on his nerves at times. She's constantly flirting with him, which is something he doesn't like all that much. Or maybe he's just shy about it, we can never really tell.
Ryu also tends to train Orson, the Teddiursa/Oshawott from time to time. He doesn't mind training the cross, nor does he mind his company, but he sometimes wishes he'd take training a little more seriously since Orson himself says wants to get stronger.
Though he'd never tell anyone, Ryu secretly has a thing for cute or pretty-looking female Pokemon and gets flustered around them a bit. And if they happen to be strong in battle? He'd be head over heels.
