Flexing my design muscles for some new card designs, because I just noticed my previous set ran out.

Which one of the four would be great for a one sided card?

I think they're all well made although the first and third would better suit a graphic designer. Of the remaining two, I like the second one better than the fourth. It seems to be more "polished"/finished, and IMO it has more expression. Neither of them really suggest animation to me.

Animation no, illustration yes. Fair enough.

I'd love to see number 1 and number 2 from the left has a double sided card.

My opinion? The second one. Dunno why, but it's the only one I can see that would actually be one sided.

First or last. Both get attention and stand out from the usual designs I've seen. I worked at several small print shops specializing in small-run custom business cards, so I've seen a lot of designs by now. Either will get you remembered, which is what you want.

First gets points for EYE-CATCHING ORANGE, last gets points for actually showing off what it is that you do, which is very important. Third obscures the illustration too much and doesn't catch eyes as much as the first, and the second looks a little too much like it could be a filtered/touched-up photo, so it shows your skill less. (Kind of an odd crit, but it's true.) The second also isn't as memorable as the fourth.

If you can't get a printed proof beforehand, then do the last design, because that first one has a shade of orange which could be hard to reproduce without a lot of trial and error and settings adjustments. The fourth will mostly have problems reproducing that teal - it'll err more towards a purplish greyish light blue. (Well, with the laser machines I'm used to. Really depends on the shop and the printer, etc. I guess the moral is get a proof no matter what you do.)

these are all so awesome! Thinking about a choose...uhm...the illustration in the four is the most outstanding IMO but it quite divert attention from the write so...uhm... for a one-sided card I think the 2 is the best balanced

I'd agree with fig and Chibigao. Why not use all of them? However, all the same the last is a might bit intimidating. Mind you, you might want to be using it to narrow your clientelle? I personally like number one and two though, because they're not intimidating, they're eye catching, and the second is a litle more smooth looking and polished- you don't want people thinking all your art always looks unfinished.

Why not use all 4? Print them out as a sheet and add variety

I think they're all great, although the last one might be a bit intimidating...(maybe? for some people, although I personally think it's great)

Hah, and I really can't pick a favorite. I love them all.
