Huh so Obito and Tobi are not the same person, kinda shame since it adds a tragic narrative to Obito's character compared to Kakashi.

As maybe Tobi could be a split personality or rather the remains of Obito's true personality? Since you could have Obito's corpse revived by Zetsu's DNA and it made Obito alive but fractured his mind, leaving Obito a blank slate, and Obito well...not really being himself and soon became someone else in a sense? As Tobi was just remains of Obito's mind.

Or would in this case if your not making Obito be Tobi, would Tobi be a close follower of Madara during his olden days?
