Chronoverse Fact #27: Rise of Egg Empire

Well, as you can see, this fact is a small way of connecting the events of Sonic the Movie with the initial events of Archie's Sonic. In this case, there's obviously a much longer time lapse between the blue hedgehog's first adventure and when he meets Tails, obviously because it wouldn't have seemed natural for Eggman to have escaped from one planet, arrived on another, and established an empire in less than a year.

Also, I completely omitted Knuckles' involvement in Eggman's escape from the mushroom planet, leaving their encounter for later. Instead, I took the opportunity to introduce the first connections between Mario's world and Sonic's. It's a simple thing, but I think it works.
