Hey!  Don't want to overload you or break your stride in Norling - that book is the priority.  But as you go through it, you might like to check out on the side what Loomis says about perspective.  He doesn't say much, in terms of pages.  Generally, he sums up the principles with a few examples on one or two pages!  Haha.  In any event, you will see exactly what Norling talks about www.deviantart.com/users/outgo…

If you ever lose the link, you can always find it on my profile page in the QUICK PICKs section.  Right now there is another book there, too, ANIMATION by Preston Blair.  I used to have over a dozen linked directly to my scribd.com collections.  But as Scribd went commercial, many people who posted their work free either took them down in protest, or went along with Scribd's suggestion to offer them for a price (with Scribd taking a commission).

Yeah, thanks. Either way, I was going to check out Loomis' books after I was done with Norling and Perard, I've read a bit of Drawing the Head and Hands but I'll go check this book's perspective section before starting Drawing Trees. Drawing Trees piqued my curiosity because it also covers topics like shading techniques, composition, portraying shadow and light, and, especially, approaches to outlining, which I thought would be useful for inking.

Are you talking about Harding's On Drawing Trees and Nature ? Might be the best book on drawing I've ever read.  Good luck - it's wordy (but you get used to it) :salute:
BTW- are you left-handed, or ambidextrous, by any chance?

Oh, and no, it's not On Drawing Trees and Nature, it's just called Drawing Trees and the author's name is Victor Perard and the book was published in 1955. It's this one.
