The Warden

The Warden — Ornamental Animals series

The fifth piece in my Ornamental Animals series. A red fox portrait framed in autumn botanicals, gold filigree, and faceted gemstones. The crown and necklace blend organic elements, leaves, flowers, and berries, with ornamental metalwork and hand-faceted emeralds and topaz's.

This piece was created as a gift exchange, a portrait for a hand-bound copy of a book that means a great deal to me. The name came from the expression in the eyes. This fox isn't decorative. He's watching over something.
