King Ditto BW Sprite by Axel-Comics King Ditto BW Sprite by Axel-Comics
Thought I'd take a stab at doing BW/B2W2 style sprites. I chose Ditto turning into a King slime cos of it's simple shape relatively few colours. Metal King is probably my personal fave of these four. I've never done a G5 style sprite before so I'd appreciate any feedback and constructive criticisms to help me improve and not repeat any mistakes in the future.

For sprites and pixel-art, go here:….
Pokemon is copyright Nintendo, Game Freak and Creatures Inc.
Dragon Quest is copyright Armor Project, Bird Studio and Square Enix.
These sprites are mine. They are free to use as long as I am credited and you link back to my account.

Yeah, it's Ditto trying to turn into King Slime from DQ after stealing his crown.

Think it's best to ditch the dithering on the crown. While BW does use it sometimes, the vast majority of the time it's reserved to make the shading of large areas more interesting. Instead, you could use a bit of it on the body, just like the BW Ditto sprite itself.

Also connect the entire crown to the body using the brown you've got there and just trim out the excess mass you currently have on the sides. Then, use the darker shade on the body more.

Something like this, it's a mockup to illustrate my points:

Cool, thanks for the feedback and the mock-up. It really helps since I learn more visually :D.
