Thank you so much! :) Working on the background was probably one of my favourite parts of the picture. And I personally always enjoy seeing people's interpretations of earthly/spiritual/anthropomorphic concepts.

No problem! Really? I didn't know there were people who liked to work on the backgrounds. XD I enjoy too how they interpret earthly/spiritual/anthropomorphic concepts. I think this is all very interesting. ^^

I like the effect of the snow covered (pine needles?) so close to the viewer in the front. It gives this picture a lot of depth.

Thank you! I really do wish to try and add more layers to my drawings, so I am glad to hear it has worked in this one. :)

Do you mind me asking what system you use?
Reply  ·
avodkabottle's avatar
I don't mind at all! System, as in computer system or were you referring more to the art program I used to make this?

If you were referring to art programs, I scanned a pencil drawing and painted over it in paint tool sai- then took it to photoshop cs3 for touchups and effect edits. If you meant computer system, um... I can't quite remember the specs! Oops.

I hope this was informative...!

She's so cool! I've never seen a snow based creature made like trees <3

Thanks! I thought it might be a nice relation to make, considering how trees become like skeletons during the winter months without their foliage and whatnot. :)
