The Peridhe have powerful shamans who communicated to their people the will of the spirit of the forest: Lieneli, the astral deer. Its power reaches so hight that they are the political and religious leaders of Peridhe. Despite this, they can be found as a rule unconscious due to travel rituals, performing Itessa leaf chewing. The leaders of the tribes took power during these trances. When they return to themselves, claiming to have traveled to distant lands, they dictate new orders that benefit the forest. All of the Peridhe have knowledge of multitude of animals, plants, medicines, remedies and practices with no need of a leader, that the Brillhe do not use because it seemed uncivilized.

Los Peridhe tienen poderosos chamanes que comunican a su pueblo la voluntad del espiritu del bosque, Lieneli, el ciervo astral. Su poder llega hasta tal punto que son ellos los dirigentes politicos y religiosos de los Peridhe. A pesar de esto se les puede encontrar continuamente inconscientes debido a los rituales de viaje que realizan mascando la hoja de Itessa. Durante estos trances, los que toman el poder son los dirigentes de las tribus. Cuando vuelven en si, asegurando haber viajado a lejanas tierras, dictan nuevas ordenes que benefician al bosque. Todos los Peridhe sin necesidad de lider tienen conocimientos de multitud de animales, plantas, remedios y practicas que los Brillhe no usan por parecerles poco civilizadas.
