Chapter Six: Second Trimester, Month Six Part Two

Korra entered hers and Bolin's room and plopped her side onto the bed, heaving an exhausted sigh.
"What a day," she said as she rolled over onto her back.
The little one inside her womb moved around a little, agreeing with Korra. Korra smiled as she rubbed her belly, tenderly, then sighed as she looked up at the ceiling.
"Three more months," Korra noted, "Just three more months, and then you'll be here with us, little one..."
The unborn baby gave a light kick as if to say: "I can't wait!"
Korra giggled a bit at the feeling.
"I know," she spoke, "I can't wait, either."
At that moment, someone knocked on her door.
"Come in," Korra called, and in entered Haku.
"Hi, Mom," Haku greeted, "How are you feeling?"
"Pretty tired," Korra answered, "but otherwise, okay."
"Good," Haku n

Bolin never could metalbend.
No matter how hard he tried, he couldn't do it, even with his brother's encouragement. Ultimately, Bolin gave up on ever becoming a metalbender.
That was why he switched to the next best thing: Lavabending.
"Lavabending?!" Mako asked in disbelief.
"Shhh!!!" Bolin shushed his brother and clasped a hand over his mouth. "Keep your voice down!!!"
Outside, Korra, who was five months into her pregnancy and donning a braided mohawk ponytail, Haku, and Naga built snow people.
"And yes, I'm going to practice lavabending," Bolin whispered, "and I don't want others to know about it until I've fully mastered it."
"Bolin, with all due respect," started Mako, "don't you think that sounds just a little risky? And besides, where are you goin
Avatar Aangs Goodbye
In a sunny field beneath a cherry blossom tree sat a bald monk. This monk had the beginnings of small black beard growing on his chin. His body was covered in arrow shaped tattoos. He was accompanied by a giant white monster, who like the monk had an arrow on his head between to dried horns. The monster had six legs and a flat tail like a beavers. His muzzle was white with age. Though huge in size this mighty beast looked small and feeble laying in the grass. He let out a soft low rumble. The monk looked over at his companion sadness in his eyes. The monk gave a sad smile. Patting his friend on the muzzle the monk replied to the beast “I know buddy…I know it’s time”. As tears started to form in his eyes a blue light flashed beside the young monk. Turing his head the monk saw a mighty dragon. The dragon was not alone. He was accompanied by a man in red clothes. The man had long white had with an equally long beard. His hear was styled in a bun with a gold hair pi

What is Avatar State?
The most powerful ability that an Avatar can invoke is the Avatar State. This allows an Avatar to channel immense cosmic energies and knowledge of all previous Avatars, enabling them to perform epic acts of bending. Avatars yet to fully realize their power may unconsciously enter such a state in response to perception of mortal danger (a "defense mechanism" as Avatar Roku puts it) or emotional distress. During this state, an incompletely trained Avatar has access to bending techniques they themselves have yet to learn, but has no conscious control and likely causes great collateral damage. Fully realized Avatars have full conscious control over the state, and can enter and exit the state at will. It was by entering the Avatar State that Aang was able to freeze himself and Appa into an iceberg for 100 years, by using a combination of Airbending and Waterbending.
