I'd probably say that Kiara from 'Simba's Pride' is the real princess of the pride.
(I could be wrong, but I choose Kiara from 'The Lion Guard' instead. And besides, there's a link to a picture by CooperFAN that shows 2 cubs of Simba and Nala (Link). If you tell me that cub, that's shown at the end of the 1st Lion King film, is actually Kiara, (which was named 'Fluffy'), I'm not gonna buy it. Because there are differences between the cubs. And besides, the name 'Fluffy' is not a great name for a baby lion cub that is not OK.
And as for the other part, I like to believe that the cub at the end of TLK is Kiara, and the appearence doesn't bug me. For one, TLK2's lions all look very different from their first movie counterparts, and personally I think Kiara was presented twice, and thats why their presentations were different. due to sickness or something due to other headcanon's i've seen with similar theories I like. And I think thats also why TLK cub was calm and confused like Simba during it's presentation, but TLK2 Kiara acts like she knows whats going into during it,
Of course we all know the truth and I don't care too much for the crazy debates that obsessive theroists constantly debate on to the point of insanity. All in good fun
It's like in TLK, Mufasa said to Scar, "Sarabi and I didn't see you at the presentation of Simba."
And that might mean that there won't be another presentation for Scar to see.
Anyway, if you say that the cub at the end of TLK is Kiara, it's your opinion, OK?
And even though the 1st film is called 'The Lion King', and the cub of Simba and Nala should've been a male cub.
Personally I like reading different interpretations, and when I debate with someone I get to read those different ones, so i’m sorry if I was inconsiderate
tbh I like Kiara, but i’m not gonna get mad at someone if they don’t X3
and yes, I am being a huge toddler thanks for asking
As for Kovu...I think he is supposed to make a guest appearance. lol
TLG InterviewAs much as I'd like to submit a wave of questions to the Executive Producer, Ford Riley.... little things like this also make me happy.

Some things that really stuck out to me was the fact that Riley is an anime fan. Bless this guy. The moment I read that line I KNEW it was due to the episodic storylines that Japan normally produces (generally through Manga fist before it's adapted but anyhoo).
AE: What was your favorite cartoon growing up?
FR: Throughout all of my life I have been an Anime buff. Speed Racer and Star Blazers in grade school. Those two were my favorite TV shows. In middle school it was Robotech. I watched a lot of cartoons. I loved the Disney classics and the Warner Brothers stuff. For some reason it was the story arcs of Japanese Anime that really interested me.
Most US cartoons (and sitcoms) a
FR: Yes. I have a daughter and a son. My daughter is the oldest. My son is the youngest. It is kind of like Kiara and Kion. In developing The Lion Guard obviously Kiara was established in Lion King II. If we are going to have the boy character let’s let him be the second born. Let him be the youngest. Usually the youngest never gets to be the hero. It is the comedy relief of the younger brother.
"Just like at the end of the original The Lion King film, Simba and Nala have a kid. In The Lion King II we see that she is Kiara and that she is going to grow up and be queen."
In this interview with Atticus Shaffer (Ono) he talks about TLG being part of the entire picture, and how it is a show that can stand on its own for new viewers while still keeping true to the movies. He even said something about seeing old enemies that appear in the movie(s) (not sure if he meant the hyenas coming back as Janja's clan is a branch of the hyenas that took over pride rock, or if he's referring to the outlanders since they will be coming back as well (at least 3 of them). Atticus confirms there is a blend of both 1 and 2 in TLG, and when the term canon was brought up, he said based on what he has recorded and what he's seen, there is a linear storyline between all the movies and this TV series (he leaves out the T and P show when he confirms this).
Now we can say since Atticus is just a Voice Actor some will dismiss his claims of canon as he's not an official spokes person, but Ford Riley is, and the way he words his interview confirms that they are all connected.
