Made this in my spare time. I've been working on this over the past 3 or 4 days, testing various techniques. Constructive Criticism Appreciated.

Aww, poor ladybug. That book makes it look worse. Your technique looks good to me, but I'm only really good in Photoshop and I haven't used that in about a year. So, I'm looking at it from a professional perspective.

I like it. It looks pretty neat. The only thing Im noticing is the book. Seem like the shadow on top is a bit dark. Other than that I really like it.

Keep up the great work.

Best Regards,

Jason :)

Interesting. ^_^
Also, welcome to deviantart! ^_^

Some constructive critism? Alright.

1) Glass looks a little thin (the walls), though that might just be because you don't have any
2) Shadows!, they can make a big difference in how the piece feels
3) The edges of the table - might want to add a little more geometry (maybe smooth the edges a tiny bit, even if you still want that sharp look)
4) You also might want more than one light in the scene (standard practice is 3 for test demos that aren't using radiosity)

Also, I see you use TerraGen (from you're other deviation). What program did you do this in?
