Storms seemed to plague the small farm over the last couple of days, the heat of summer still heavily present on the land, proving to stick around longer than expected since it had been so weak at the beginning of spring, having stayed in the clutches of winter for a while. But with hot weather, generally tended to bring storms. The owners of the farm, however, didn't mind too much, it gave their plants something to drink throughout the long, hot days. Like this morning, the day was bright, hot and leaking summer, a perfect day for hunting. The wet of the storm that night was heavy on the forest just on the outskirts of the farm. But that didn't disturb the tokotas and Falvargs from entering it. In fact, Ikuta had made up a little posy, to say, wanting to go out hunting. Of course, she had BearBruk with her, as well as Marlie. But she'd also allowed some of the Felvargs who was being watched by her owner that weekend, to come with them. Dubhshlaine, Ajax and Kairi. She was a little wary of them, having never really met a Felvarg before, thinking they were quite strange creatures.
Ikuta was presently waiting by the horse stables for the others to arrive, having set a time, standing close to the forest as she looked into it, BearBruk sat by her side, not massively interested in going out today, his paws already wet from the damp feeling of the grass. Marlie moved up to them after a moment, trailing behind her was Ajax, who had spent the morning with her, the large grey Felvarg wasn't quite as tall as the cream dire. Ikuta watched them as they moved up, hesitant to trust Ajax, as well as Dubhshlaine and Kairi, but she was trying to settle herself. Kairi moved up to them after a moment, followed by Dubhshlaine, who didn't look massively happy to be going out either. Once they were all together, Ikuta let out a small sigh and started off towards the woods, deciding today she'd be hunting deer, not really bothering to ask Ajax, Kairi or Dubhshlaine what they'd prefer to hunt, BearBruk thought it was generally lucky they asked if they could come with them. Marlie however, was having a lot more fun with Ajax, Kairi and Dubhshlaine, having come off as friendly, not seeming to mind the trio's intrusion into their lives for the time being
The forest was a large place, filled with life, and deer was heavy on the air, their scent trailing throughout the place, some of it stale, some of it quite new. Ajax looked back towards Dubhshlaine and Kairi, thinking it was quite a large forest and looking forward to looking around it, not so much the hunt, but the walk seemed nice at least. Kairi was also pretty interested in the forest, her tail wagging softly as she followed after Ikuta, BearBruk and Marlie. Dubhshlaine on the other hand, didn't look massively happy with anything, not really wanting to be out in the forest hunting, having wanted to stay in the barn where he could rest, at least, he'd rather not be with the strange Tokotas, having heard about them quite a lot and not massively interested in them. Marlie glanced back to the three of them, wagging her tail a bit, Ikuta having picked up a strong trail of deer quite quickly, presently, she was hurrying off ahead of the group with BearBruk on her tail, wanting to find the herd quickly, hoping they'd be able to take one down.
Ikuta wasn't massively keen on taking out a large group to hunt down deer, thinking it tended to startle them quicker when there was a lot of movement and noise, as well as the fact she had no idea how Dubhshlaine, Ajax and Kairi would act, she didn't know if they'd try to ruin the hunt or not. BearBruk had thought similar, but Marlie was happily trotting along with the trio. Dubhshlaine had no intention of messing up the hunt, neither did Ajax or Kairi, Kairi looking forward to it, actually, now that she'd gotten more involved in it, her eyes steadly watching Ikuta, thinking she was a pretty good tracker and could understand why she was the leader of this hunting group, figuring the female lead most of the hunting groups. And Kairi would be right, Ikuta did, her and BearBruk where generally on the hunting group, though mostly only for large prey. Ajax moved up beside Marlie as they seemed to get closer to a clearing where Ikuta thought the deer were settled, Dubhshlaine following after them, slowly and not massively interested in following, letting out a long sigh, Ajax nudged him a bit, wanting him to be more involved, but Dubhshlaine just grunted and moved out of the way.
Ikuta seemed to have been right about the deer, pushing through some bushes, she came to a large clearing by a lake, the deer having note noticed them, happily grazing, barely paying too much attention to anything around them. Marlie wagged her tail a little bit and let out a happy whine, looking back to Dubhshlaine, Ajax and Kairi happily, Kairi moved up next to BearBruk as she looked out at the deer, letting out a small whine, eager for the hunt, Ikuta let out a huffed noise to try and settle her, not wanting to startle the deer, Kairi looked unhappy with the huff and pinned her ears back, but Ajax moved up to try and settle his friend, Dubhshlaine however seemed more annoyed that they'd dare to tell her off, while BearBruk moved protectively in front of Ikuta, letting out a low growl towards them, his fur puffed up. Marlie let out a small whine and slowly, they all seemed to settle, turning their attention back to the deer. Ikuta waited a long moment, before she gave the signal for them to pounce, all six of them diving out of the bushes and rushing towards the deer.
In the end, they'd only managed to catch Two of the deer, Ikuta standing proudly over her own kill, looking towards BearBruk who was rolling his eyes at her, Marlie slummed to the side a bit, panting heavily and wagging her tail a bit, nudging the deer's leg with her nose. Dubhshlaine had managed to take one down to, to the annoyance of Kairi since he hadn't even been that keen on doing anything in the hunt, but Ajax was just happy they'd managed to catch something, letting out a small whine as he slumped down next to his friend. Kairi gave up after a moment and slowly moved to slump down next to Dubhshlaine to, congratulating him on his kill. Ikuta nudged BearBruk with her nose, wanting him to settle, and he did, quickly, he gruffed and Ikuta whine, moving to pick up the deer as best she could, starting off back into the forest, wanting to get it hope, Marlie moved after them quickly, and Dubhshlaine, picking up his own deer, starting off following them, Ajax and Kairi on his tail, BearBruk following slowly, all of them wanting to get back to the farm after a successful hunt.
