I had a lot of fun making this hat.~ It's a Christmas present for one of my brothers. I wrote down the pattern so I can share it with everyone. I modeled it after Twilight Princess.

The Legend of Zelda franchise belongs to Nintendo.

Link's Hat(Twilight Princess style) Adult size

Hook size: I
Yarn: Worsted Weight, Green, brown for the "x" stitches

Abbreviations: hdc--half double, ch--chain, sl st--slip stitch, st--stitch, sc2tog--single two together, FO--Fasten off

**Note: you will be joining each round to the first hdc made after completing the round. Stitch count is in (). And you hdc in the same st as the ch 2.**

1. Magic Ring 8 hdc, join with sl st in first hdc (8)
2. Ch 2, hdc around (8)
3. Ch 2, [hdc in next 3 st, inc] 2x (10)
4. Ch2, [hdc in next 4 st, inc] 2x (12)
5. Ch 2, [hdc in next 5 st, inc] 2x (14)
6. Ch 2, [hdc in next 6 st, inc] 2x (16)
7-8. Ch 2, hd around (16)
9. Ch 2, [hdc in next 3 st, inc] 4x (20)
10. Ch 2, hdc around (20)
11. Ch 2, [hdc in next 4 st, inc] 4x (24)
12. Ch 2, hdc around (24)
13. Ch 2, [hdc in next 5 st, inc] 4x (28)
14. Ch 2, hdc around (28)
15. Ch 2, [hdc in next 6 st, inc] 4x (32)
16. Ch 2, hdc around (32)
17. Ch 2, [hdc in next 7 st, inc] 4x (36)
18. Ch 2, hdc around (36)
19. Ch 2, [hdc in next 8 st, inc] 4x (40)
20. Ch 2, hdc around (40)
21. Ch 2, [hdc in next 5 st, inc) 8x (56)
22. Ch 2, hdc around (56)
23. Ch 2, [hdc in next 6 st, inc] 8x (64)
24. Ch 2, hdc around (64)
25. Ch 2, [hdc in next 7 st, inc] 8x (72)
26. Ch 2, hdc around (72)
27. Ch 2, [hdc in next 8 st, inc] 8x (80)
**At this point, you can make the hat as long as you'd like. I only crocheted around 26 times.**
28-53. Ch 2, hdc around (80)

Brim

1. Ch 10, hdc in 2nd ch from hook, hdc 8 across, sc2tog, turn (8)
2. DO NOT CH 1! Work a hdc in 2nd st from hook and hdc across (8)
Repeat rows 1-2 until you reach the end. FO

Fold up the brim and stitch to the hat if you want it to stay folded.

For the "x" 's, I did my best to place them on the folds of the hat as it lays flat, about an inch to 1 1/4 inches up from the brim(Whichever you prefer.)

If you have any questions about this pattern or need help, feel free to message me. I tried to write it so it is easily understood.

This is my Christmas gift to DeviantArt this year! Enjoy.~

Love this. I should make this for my husband - he's a big fan. Though I'll have to knit it, I can't crochet that well.
