TF - Alone Among ManyTitle: TF - Alone Among Many
Relationships: Engarde/Pacemaker, Pacemaker/Deadbolt/Fishtail (Bromance only)
Summary: Engarde reflects on his relationship with Pacemaker, who he calls his best friend...who most definitely does not call Engarde the same in return.
Engarde had never been one to make friends, not even when he was young. He had tried to befriend sparklings his age, but it simply wasn’t easy for him to warm up to them. Apparently he didn’t look particularly approachable either: he was thin, all sharp angles and feet that didn’t go the way he wanted and finials and wings that showed far too much of what he was thinking.
By the time he had reached ninety vorns, he had pretty much stopped trying. He watched his cousin meet people and call them “our friends” so that Engarde would feel included, which he appreciated, but it didn’t make much of a difference anyway. Those friends considered him a bother, nothi
TF - Here, There, and EverywhereTitle: TF - Here, There, and Everywhere
Relationships: Spotlight/Freezeframe (Familial)
Summary: The end was near...and it was more of a relief than Freezeframe had ever suspected.
The end was going to come—slowly, sluggishly, and softly, for Freezeframe alone. He had always imagined and feared it being much worse, but now he couldn’t help but have a feeling that it wouldn’t hurt anyone but him.
That was more of a relief than he had ever suspected.
It wasn’t entirely bad, of course. All he had to do was look at his brother and he could be reminded that so much of it was so, so good. Spotlight had a smile like the sun since they were sparked, but now that the war was over, it was there for every good thing, for the whole world to see. A small part of Freezeframe suspected the world didn’t deserve to see it, but the better part of him was so proud, so happy for him that he was willing to share the privilege.
TF - MinefieldTitle: TF - Minefield
Relationships: Gridiron/Civility, Pacemaker/Backscatter, Aubade/Engarde (Romance)
Summary: A visitor to the base with a knack for flirting makes a series of unfortunate mistakes with the femmes.
“I bet I could snag any femme here if I wanted.”
“Whatever you say, Volt,” Pacemaker muttered, resisting the urge to clench his fists at the snidely arrogant tones of the younger mech. It wasn’t often that he felt a constant, pressuring urge to put a mech in his medical bay, especially when it came to visiting Autobots, but this particular visiting Autobot was an exception.
Volt had arrived to pick up his older sister, Deadbolt, who had been taken into Pacemaker’s care after a bad injury on her latest mission. Volt wasn’t at all interested in official business—or even his sister, for that matter; his only goal seemed to be tracking down and ensnaring any femme who suited his fancy…which se
