I have been absent from DA for some time but will be coming back more often now.
My wife Virgine (V in my gallery) has been on dialysis every other day for over fifteen years, and had received previously two kidney transplants which failed.
Dialysis is like a ball and chain, you cannot live without it, and it takes away half of your life.
We had come to believe that there was no alternative since she has a genetic disorder which would always cause rejection.
Recent medical discoveries have resulted in a treatment suitable for her disorder.
Two weeks ago she received a third transplant, (imagine five kidneys in one body) which is working! For the moment still in intensive care, she should be home in a week or so.
Imagine pissing for the first time in fifteen years!
