This picture was taken in the southern Alps of Switzerland in the late afternoon. I just love the gray tone of this picture and the moody clouds hanging over the Alpine Lake. :-)

Ah, I missed this one ! Too bad...

What I like here is this kinda progression in the blue tones and the exotic feel... ah, Australia....

;)

Australia? :giggle: It was actually taken in Switzerland mate :-)

Either way, I'm glad you like it.

Thanks for the feedback

I'm a big dumb head !! I've seen your picture late at night so I didn't read correctly the description... Hope you had a big laugh reading my comments...

Anyway, I liked the shoot :)

I never looked at it that way, but I'm glad you mentioned it. I'm always happy to hear other peoples point of view of my photos... 'different people see different things differently' as they say :aww:

Take Care

It is, though the lake is created by a dam - so unfortunately its not all natural.

Thanks for you comment :-)

A really well taken photo Peter that has a very peaceful and zen like quality to it. :+fav:

The fact that you took this with your Kodak 3mp is impressive as I think the quality is of a professional looking standard. Nice work

3.1MP :giggle: It's a 2.1MP camera mate ;-)

Truth be told, I have always been very impressed with some of the photos that I took with the old Kodak. It was certainly a great camera (for its time), and I was very happy with its results.

Thanks for dropping by :-)

Cheers

I like how the mountin cute through the clouds, as I dont see that much here, and its nice to look at and imagine what its like for a cloud to have to share the skies with rock.
aussiepoida's avatar
...well truth be told, in most mountainous regions, the mountains are the cause for most of the clouds... they are responsible for building them, and the clouds are responsible for shaping the mounts (in some ways). Its a pretty natural combination :-)

Lovely. :)

Out of curiosity, have you tried to increase the amount of negative space around the border? Sometimes it seems a little cramped... Just a suggestion. But this is a beautiful shot regardless.

You make a good point regarding the Negative Space - I thought the writing seemed a little cramped, but now that you are mentioning this, I'll certainly try something different.

...that is assuming you were talking about the writing being cramped :-)

Thanks for your feedback :D

:bulletblue: The angle of the shot is excellent
:bulletblue: I think you cropped it just right
:bulletblue: The colours and tones of it are perfect
:bulletblue: I like how peaceful and calm it looks
:bulletblue: You certainly have an eye for a shot :)
:bulletblue: As usual the border suits it too

:bulletblue: The final verdict? :+favlove: :D Brilliant

Thank you for your delightful feedback. It is very much appreciated.

I can’t take much credit for this shot though - I did not create the scene that is shown in this photo, I merely took a photo of it.

Take Care

:D Well that is what a photographer is supposed to do- find something so nice you want to capture it and share it with others. You have done that perfectly
