Revas was born a human called Samuel Robinson in 1899 as part of a wealthy British family with rubber plantation interests in Brazil. His family made a fortune during the boom, but much of their investments were lost when cultivation moved elsewhere. Even so, Samuel was given the best education his parents could provide, learning philosophy, social theory, and even engineering at prestigious colleges.  He was an earnest, devoted student, and once he grew out of the awkwardness of his first year, he grew into a charismatic, magnetic presence. Samuel found himself in various intellectual circles, where ideals about humanity and what utopia could look like were discussed in detail. Samuel often pushed the ideas further into idealism while simultaneously connecting them to current means, and within him grew the spark of a vision. Many were moved by his vision as well, and the agreement and support of those who would become his lasting friends only further fanned the growing flame within
