This piece is done very well overall, in fact the only major critique i can muster for it would be your odd design decisions. it leaves me wondering why exactly princess Celestia is on what appears to be a wooden balcony wearing a red cape/ dress and playing a cello with her cutie mark on it, it begs to ask why the piece is called moonlight when at the forefront it is a character whom embodies the sun itself. There is a crescent moon in the background, but even then it seems to be at that odd time of day when the sun hasn't quite gone down but the moon has still come out. They are all very odd choices that make me scratch my head.

However odd they may be though i still found myself smiling at the idea of My favorite princess playing my instrument of choice in the middle of a beautiful time of day that is not often portrayed in artwork, especially not this well! so i guess my point is keep your wacky yet elegant ideas but make sure the title readily fits as the description EX. Van Gogh's starry night, Wacky and elegant styles and ideas with a simple but direct name.

There are a few other minor technical issues that i would like to touch on before i finish. for instance Celestia's bottom most hoof is a tad blurred in with the backdrop and makes it look fuzzy. Also the hair looks a smidge stringy, although you would only really notice it if you were looking for it, so it's not a major concern. Also on the left hand side of the screen there appears to be a liney gray blob of sorts, and i am not sure whether it's supposed to be some kind of ashen tree roots of crumbled bits of a stone pillar it's very unclear.

For as many minor faults as there are though i feel the overall tone of the piece is keep graceful and apparent. The way that you portray this odd time of the day is something i have never seen in a piece before and it is quite refreshing. the detail on Celestia and the Cello are spectacular capturing each of their natural beauties.
Celestia's wings look wonderful and the cello is almost lifelike( i wish i could have one like that!). I also enjoyed that the balcony has a simpler asian design to it and i enjoyed the bushes surrounding it even though they were not as detailed as the rest of the piece.

Really i don't know what else to say, but i guess i could say "Good job". However that would be too cliche and boring. So i shall leave you with a watch from me instead, that doesn't really count for much and you probably could've guessed that from my critique in the first place but i think it's more sincere than just saying a simple motivational phrase.

I hope to see more my good sir, i bid thee adieu
