Hello. My name is, Silver Spirit. I am one of the few survivors of the Everfree infection. I was just a colt when our heroes went into the forest to stop the infestation from spreading... They... They never should have sent Princess Sparkle back. Discord abandoned us, and our Princess stood her ground to protect us from the Everfree infection. But the Princess with all her powerful magic stood no chance. For when it seemed she was going to win, a chaotic laughter echoed from the forest, and Discord took her magic away. Knowing what had to be done, our princess ran into the forest to find her friends.
We do not know what happened in the forest, but hours later the Princess and her friends returned, but they were... different. My mother approached our heroes... Asked them what we should do. Pinkie Pie crooked her head and grinned. With a small giggle she said in a haunting tone. "Giggle at the Ghosties." With that the Everfree Forest seemed to explode with activity, it's vines reaching out and taking my mother from me and us all. With what seemed to be left of her mind our Princess spread her wings and shouted. "RUN!"
The Everfree infection spread fast, too fast. It took my father, my sister is missing, and many citizens of ponyville didn't make it. We fled, we ran. To Canterlot we raced, only to see it's citizens running for the hills as-well. The royal guard didn't stand a chance. Barely holding off the infection the captain shepherded all citizens towards the Crystal empire. I have heard that some of us made it through, but the Everfree forest kept us from escaping.
It's been years since that faithful day. Those of us that are left, hide in fear, waiting for the day the Everfree takes us too. No-one knows what happened to our heroes, or what broken shape they now take. The survivors are not like they were before. We are all changing into... something. This morning I awoke with a small pair of horns sticking out of my forelock. And I don't know how much longer I have to live. Today I could swear I heard a haunting melody coming from outside my cave. Someone singing. "Smile Smile Smile."...
