War Dog Memorial

The War Dog memorial is located at March Field Air Museum in Riverside CA. It's not huge, but it's pretty moving. The best partners any soldier could ask for. Willing to lay down their lives to protect their partner, and vice-versa. Those of you who know me know my connection to the Canine species. This memorial is small but powerful.

I read that most war dogs that served in Vietnam were left behind when American troops pulled out. They were likely killed or died from starvation...

Wonderful picture, but when i see it, it reminds me of what i read..:(

Very well done image.

My dad was a dog Handler in Viet Nam. His dog's name was Cimmeron. He's been collecting the information for the K-9 handlers fron Viet Nam for a few years now and has made contact with other handlers.

He's told me about this memorial. there's a pretty nice dog & soldier memorial in central Phoenix that I like too. Maybe I will put up a pic or two from a couple months ago.

I have never seen this. I worked alongside a lot of K-9 SP's at Clark. We had the largest kennel in the Air Force with close to a hundred dogs if I remember right.
