One time, I tried to cross the sea by swimming. That was ludicrous, and I nearly drowned.
I then tried to cross the sea by using the easy way: a boat. The boat crashed into a rock and sank.
I then demanded God to part the sea, but He didn't.
Then, I gave up. I walked across the water toward Him. It was scary, and I was a little doubtful, but I was going somwhere...
"Just don't look down," a gentle voice said.
The scars from the boat crash and the weakness from swimming reminded me that this was the only way left, so I just walked. I walked with an unrushed pace. It didn't matter how slow I was walking. Just as long as I was walking.
"That's right. Like that. You're doing better than Peter's first time."
I saw Him smiling not in a compelling way, but in a way that just waaaants me to succeed. He didn't rush me. Still, I wondered if it was possible to run on water. That would be cool. Should I try it?
