Description
Finally finished with this little project. I don't know how long it has taken, but my guess is a bit over 100 hours. (I know, I'm slow.
)
It is supposed to depict a battle between a Spanish and a Dutch fleet, somewhere at the end of the 17th century (or so, didn't really specify it).
Around 30 to 40 different 17th and 18th century paintings and drawings were used for ship and rigging references - since I'm not an expert in ancient ship design and wanted it to be relatively realistic.
Please zoom in to see the details. There are 14 ships hidden in the painting. The original size of the painting is around 10000x5000 pixels.
