Description
A small amphibian creature with a large appetite, it is omnivorous and will eat anything that can fit into it's mouth. The lyrm has very slippery skin and must stay moist at all times as it can easly dehydrate, but despite this it is not aquatic and instead spends most of its life in trees in humid rainforests. Its twelve legs can stick to almost any surface, making it a very efficient climber. To be able to support all of its legs it has two hearts, enabling it to sit in uncomfortable positions for hours without getting tired. It also has a very long tongue, which it uses to catch prey.
If the lyrm is threatened it has two defence mechanisms: making a really loud, high-pitched noise, and secreting a foamy substance from pores in its skin, this foam tastes disgusting for potential predators and can be toxic if too much of it is consumed. This foam however seems to have strange healing qualities when applied to wounds, as it destroys bacteria and neutralizes other toxins.
