Description
The leafshell nymphae can commonly be found in bodies of freshwater. The shell on its back has been modified to resemble a lily pad, giving it excellent camouflage. These reptiles feed primarily on insects and small fish, they float near the surface of the water with only its shell and nose sticking out, waiting for prey to come close. They can also convert sunlight into energy using photosynthetic cells in their shell.
The shell on the nymphae is soft and can easily be damaged, but once damaged it can regenerate relatively quickly.
