Description


The ferox is a social predator. Their high intelligence allows them to hunt strategically with their pack members. Their bodies are built more for speed than strength so they take advantage of their sheer numbers when taking down larger prey. Their adaption to a speedy lifestyle can be seen in certain parts of their bodies such as having shorter canines to make room for larger nostrils, which helps them take in more air as they're running
Feroxes come in a variety of colors and patterns, many of them very colorful. Their colors serves a purpose in communication between individuals rather than for camouflage.
Despite looking and behaving much like a mammal, the ferox is not a true mammal. They share traits of both mammals and reptiles, such as possessing fur, external ears and being warm-blooded, but also being covered in scales, laying eggs and lacking mammary glands.
The ferox can be considered a link between mammals and reptiles in their evolutionary history.
