Description
The largest terrestrial creature in the land of The Breathing Ridge. These giants spend most of their lives hibernating underground. Their hibernation period lasts so long that they become part of the landscape, and their bodies provide nutrient for the plants around them.
Once every few hundred years or so they wake from their hibernation to journey to their breeding ground. Although they are completely blind, they navigate by sensing the planets' magnetic field.
While on their long journey, they communicate by expelling air through their fused nostrils. The airways go all the way up into the crest on their forehead, creating a booming noise similar to that of a tuba that can be heard from miles away.
