Chapter 2 - Cutting The Bridge The freed Fabrication Machine was lumbering behind the seven stitchpunks, out for blood and hungry for their souls. The agile 7 sprinted in the lead, holding 6’s hand as she huffed. 6 looked troubled as if he had seen something, and was clutching the key chained around his neck. The Twins were not far behind, behind them was 9, holding 5’s hand and 1 was following the two burlap punks. They sprinted towards a rickety, wooden bridge with a metal railing. Some of its wooden beams were weakened by the harsh winds. The stitchpunks were small and lightweight but any misstep could send one falling into the misty chasm below. 6 was clearly disturbed, as right before they were ordered to run, he took notice of the bright, ghostly silhouettes that were inside the Machine’s red eye. The specters had faces that 6 recognized as belonging to 2 and 8. They briefly looked at him, in a pleading manner. A spark went off in his brain, and it made perfect sense to him.

Chapter 1 - The Weight Of The World It was over. The Fabrication Machine had been destroyed. This horrid machine that had claimed the lives of 2 and 8, had perished in the flames. In a moment of respite, the Stitchpunks celebrated their victory by playing music on a gramophone and playing around. 1 had taken to sitting on an empty liquor bottle. He wasn’t in a celebratory mood, and instead sat down, mourning the loss of his closest confidant, 8 and contemplating giving up his position as leader. 9 and 5 glanced over at 1, and gave a look of concern to each other, but quickly shrugged it off. 7 was stretching her legs on the top of the gramophone, watching the twins run around the vinyl record player. She called out to 9, and 5 giggled as his friend walked on towards the gramophone. As 9 clumsily fell onto 7’s lap, 5 gave a look of longing as he gazed up at the zippered doll. He developed a strong fondness for the newcomer, despite his recklessness. He didn’t have the guts to
