My Bio

Greetings, fellow creatives! I am Astroblaze the Reality Traverser, but most people call me Astro.

I am a young androgyne (ce/cim/cir) from the midwestern US who has been drawing ever since I could hold a pencil. I also write original fiction, although not nearly as frequently or rapidly (find me on Wattpad and A03 for my writings), and I greatly enjoy detailed, in-depth roleplaying (find me on Iwaku to roleplay with me).

My main style is a sort of simplified manga that I've settled on because I prefer the crisp linework with the (mostly) realistic proportions. I also occasionally doodle in a much more cartoony style I've affectionately named Biti and refer to as the chibi version of my style. I mainly draw humans and humanoids with a preference for things that look just a little strange, with the occasional animals as needed. Commonly my art overlaps with my writing.

I love to create and to share my creations, and I hope you find enjoyment in my talents as well!

As a nonbinary trans individual in a Christian household, I've been extremely fortunate compared to my peers: I was raised from a truly Christ-centered perspective, one that taught me my intrinsic value as a child of God regardless of how I identify, and seeing other "Christians" use their religion to attack others cuts me to my core. I want to be the voice of true, loving Christianity in my community to combat the hate that my peers have been subjected to for generations. Having grown up in a white-saturated small-town community, learning about and from people of other ethnicities is also very important to me, both to expand my own perspective and to educate my creation. How incredibly sheltered and generally ignorant I've been growing up makes me feel at times as though my voice is irrelevant in the larger community, but I know this is unfair to me and my story. I draw and write from a perspective that all people are completely equal and infinitely valued, and that diversity is a

wow it's been forever since I've done any art ^^; college and work have been making creative pursuits kind of impossible
