Who'd've thought that Chinese Food delivery would be an extreme sport?
During the long years after the Delivery Disaster, people like me have been a huge target. Radicals blamed all of us for the 23 men and women who ferried weapons back and forth under the name of food delivery, and the delivery business became one of the most dangerous jobs around (I wish I had known this before the job briefing this morning). But, the need for take-out lived on, so restaurants began hiring Ex-Service agents such as myself to carry their precious cargo to its destination. Today was my very first day on the job, and I was determined to make a good impression. Armed with an empty wallet, a helmet of dreams, and a brand new, Lithium-powered, SpeedPro 8000 Scooter, I set out with my first set of deliveri
