Busy, busy...

I decided it was time to step down from volunteering.  This month would mark 6 years on the team this time around and wow time has really flown!  
Life has been pretty busy between work and my dogs, and DA unfortunately has been on the backburner for quite some time.  
I very much enjoyed looking at all the suggestions I got over the years, and browsing the site for all the gems I was fortune enough to feature.  

With the onslaught of of AI, finding DDs became increasingly harder.  Every time I accidently clicked on one piece of AI, the algorithm would feed me more of them.  I ended up not clicking on what was likely some really amazing art by very skilled artists out of fear it would be another AI piece.  I really hated this a lot, but strived not to select AI as DDs.  
Suggestions which were sent to me were so incredibly helpful, not just to help me see things that I maybe would have otherwise missed, but also to help clean the AI back out of my algorithm.  
So even if I didn't select your suggestion, please know your suggestions still aided me in finding art to feature and I valued that so very much!  

Some weeks It would take me a few hours to find a weeks worth of DDs to select, which was okay as long as I didn't have a stack of projects that needed to be finished etc.  
I've been traveling a lot with my dogs, going to shows, events, classes etc on top of working most weeks 7 days a week.  Spending a few hours a week looking for DDs simply ended up cutting into my down time and started feeling like a chore.  

I definitely could have just set DDs from suggestions, and not had one every day, or set them based on when I just happen to find something to feature, but I didn't want to be that CV who did the bare minimum (I already felt like I was doing the bare minimum by setting DDs for every day).  

At the end of the day I can say that I had another great experience as a volunteer.  @moonbeam13 and the rest of the team are absolutely amazing and working with them is a joy.  
I'm sad that I wont be working alongside them in the future, but I feel my stepping down was the right thing to do.

I'll still be active on the site, hopefully I'll have more art to upload soon too.  I've mostly been working on art for my new business and I haven't uploaded that here.  I have another painting I did recently too that I also haven't uploaded yet that I hope to soon.
