Beautiful colours! Did you know the greyhound is called Windhund in German? Because of this, to me the stormy background seems quite fitting as a backdrop for this animal.
And let me tell you, once the purple-and-blues Blues has taken a hold of you, it's quite difficult if not to say impossible to just quit. You may veer into different colours for a while or on occasion, but eventually you'll be drawn back to the purples and blues from their siren's call...

When I was younger in school we always used watercolors in art class but never used proper watercolor paper. I hated the medium so much! I can definitely say having the right tools makes a world of difference though. Even cheap watercolor paper is a huge step up from regular paper if you want to work with watercolors.
