Walnut by Astarsia Walnut by Astarsia
yes.. boring i know. even though i've finished my short course, i want to continue to do some drawing lessons with traditional media.. i bought a how-to kit. its about drawing with lead pencils. so far its pretty fun.. anyway i had fun making this. its not exact to the lesson, which is more unique to me i guess. but at least its doing something for me, particularly because i like realistic images that i do.

i hope this makes someone smile, even though its boooooring!

took me 45 mins.

The shading is just great. It creates the perfect contrast. And you added the details so well, like at the bottom of it and that's left here.

Nice nut. Where's the other?

I'm sorry. I couldn't stop myself.

Seriously, though, this is quite good! The lighting on the shell looks great. :D

yeah well i had to do a kind of funny wonky oval [not hard to do lol i have shakey hands] and a funky oval half behind it so it was alot easier.
