Yes, very cute. She's the newest member of our family. Might need to make her an album of her own as I can see her dominating my animals album. Her name is Dora after the great explorer herself (after our first morning of trying to get her out from under the bed several times) Videos are available here [link]

I had a look at the Dog of the Day but I don't agree with their taking on copyright. There is no reason why they don't simply have "By sending us images you are verifying that you own the copyright for those images and that you give us permission to reuse those photos for the Dog of the Day." Instead, they could then sell on my work royalty free and I would have no recourse. Whilst I am not a professional photographer, I would not be happy with other people profiting on my work without paying me a fair royalty.

I would advise that you put a small notice at the bottom of your site explaining that all images are copyrighted to their respective owners and may not be copied or used without their express permission. That protects you as the site owner. Likewise, you could do with changing the upload statement to include a declaration that those submitting own the copyright. The DA submission policy [link] is a good example of what you need to protect yourself as a site owner.

As soon as the copyright side is cleared up, I would be more than happy to. I'm not trying to be funny, I won't even enter my photos into competitions that want to take on ownership of copyright. When I do portraits for people, I give them permission to do whatever they like with the images but make sure they understand that I retain the copyright. That way, they can make as many copies as they like for friends and family but in the unlikely event that it appears in a magazine, I want the credit as the photographer. Did you see the Youtube videos? The little cutie is currently making a mess all over my dining room floor, stripping the label of a bottle of cola.
