Tangmere by AstarothSquirrel Tangmere by AstarothSquirrel
This steam train is called Tangmere and was on a "Thanet Belle" excursion from London through Kent stopping at Ramsgate and Faversham among other stops along its route. I thought I would do it in sepia tones to give it that old steam-train look but if anyone shows an interest, I'll upload the full colour version too.

This was taken at Westbere where there is an unmanned crossing allowing me to set up quite close to the tracks, not realising the speed that this was going to thunder past us. I was expecting the place to be packed but there was just one other "train-spotter" and he took it well when I pointed out that I was into the photography more than the trains.
