Description
It was just a small little root at first, protruding from the ceiling of a maintenance tunnel. The gnomes shrugged and went on pursuing their affairs. As time went by, more and more began to appear, often in the most incongruous places. It was a lot of work to cut them because they were hard as steel, and regrew fast. But it was manageable.
All changed when the Great Chamberlain Swhalabulimawasamed the 38th broke its noses after stumbling upon one of them, hidden beneath his Royal carpet. He pointed his royal finger to the invader and solemnly declared :
- "Enuf' wit'ya ! War y'want ? War it is !"
By the time they fetch him his Royal War Shovel, he had put on his Royal War Hat and gave his instructions. The Gnome Army was all set up, and he took the lead of the 12th Royal Gnomic Expedition to the Great Above to fight back the invasion. This story was told and retold for generations, from the horrible encounter with the Furry Wet One to the Great Battle that finally brought down their opponent. They returned victorious, although many were lost* during this epic incursion in the fabled land of the Missing Ceiling.
To this day, the shepherds has no idea what took down the lone oak by raven's cliff.
