Eclipse isn't working well at all. I had no notification that you posted this. I see the hedgehog is hanging his mask by his ears without covering his nose and mouth - just like many Americans. Politically correct, yet ineffective. Conforming to the rule without serving the intended purpose. Yes. Snail is right to be wary.
Here we don't have to wear masks. Only in public transportation and when you cannot guarantee distance of 1,5 m. Snail is terrified to be cut with the huge scissors. Interesting how culture makes us look different at the same picture.
What about in other close, confined indoor spaces? This is how the virus is most easily contracted, by breathing it in on aerosolized respiratory droplets suspended in the air. The "cloud" of droplets hangs around a long time indoors with poor air circulation.
Indoor spaces may only hold as many people as possible while maintaining 1,5 m distance, more than 100 is now allowed. You will have to assign spaces you can sit/ stand/ walk so it is save. It's some calculation and can vary from indoor space to another. You will have to make a reservation online for going to a church, theater etc. (so they can track you and others back if there is an outbreak) and will go through a healthcheck. No dancing in nightclubs. Wear a mouthpiece in the car when you are not from the same household. If you are feeling sick, stay at home. Taxies, busses also. Wash hands and keep distance. No singing in choirs yet, but there will be new rules about that. We had little to no masks from the beginning. Stay at home as much as possible (was mostly in the beginning), washing hands and keep your distance. Hand sanitizers literally everywhere.
Main mode of transmission is proven to be by air, which is why masks are most important to stopping spread. The aerosol "cloud" emitted from a sneeze or cough (or shouting, or singing) can spread far greater than 1.5 m. The data says 30 ft (more than 9 m). And the cloud hangs around suspended, which is why masks should be worn in closed spaces.
Every country handles the crisis differently. Wouldn't surprise me if that will be one of the new rules in a second wave here. For now, this is... what it is. I am going back to observing and try to make people smile. Even if it is just an instant. That's what these comics are for. Just to lighten up someone's day
Like the hedgehog, we can be good citizens following rules that don't sufficiently protect us and others. We should, instead, take responsibility for our lives and the welfare of those with whom we interact. When the science says more than 9 meters, then that's what intelligent people should take into account. And a Second wave? With ignorance, immaturity and selfishness feeding the virus, the world will see a storm of endless waves.
