Portrait in oil paint. It took a long time (weeks). I actually finished it months ago, but it is still drying. Working with many layers in Flemish masters style. Started with grisaille. Reference from Thomas Fluharty Flemish painting course.
When painting I do miss the digital cmd -Z so much :happybounce:  I still hesitate to put paint on the canvas so I will just have to do it more to build up some confidence.

Actual canvas or canvesette (a kind of tacky paper with simulated texture)? Did you prime and tone the canvas? Doesn't look it. Either way, get in there and kill the white. (So much of the canvas is showing through, especially on the left.

Cmd-Z - LOL. Good one.

It's an primed canvas. I applied a dark brown wash underneath the whole painting. There is no white, only the flash of the camera. It's hard to capture.
