Description
Edit: Oh gosh, thank you for the DD
One of my bigger recent projects now finished because I didn't get to before my big trip, of course Applejack, a re-imagining/combination of couple older pieces.
This one actually started impromptu during a midweek, something I had a hard time doing. (Starting up big paintings in non-Saturday Episode streams)
Also, this one was just genuinely enjoyable to work on, or at least that's what I guess it felt like since I lost track of time making that armor. It helped that it just worked out and I liked where it was going.
Some might remember my previous Applejack knights, which this is a successor to, but may also get some vibes from my Winter Timbers piece a while back. Correct on both accounts.
Designing armor is quite enjoyable, especially finding a balance between classic (female) fantasy tropes and realistic designs. Of course the apple shield had to return, that's one of the more consistent parts in this "series"
Anyhow, I still as always see things to improve, or stuff I just skimped out on or didn't want to bother too much with, but hopefully the key elements carry it onward.
Still technically Autumn
PS: I also hope this makes up for my lack of uploads the last month due to my con trip marathon.
Approx Time: 15~20 hours ? Lost track across the different sessions.

I had to admit I don't like MLP but your paintings are soo beautiful and they feels so alive and everything my works lack of, I following you a while and try to understand how you paint cartoon characters so realistically... love them and wonder what kind of program and brush do you use?
