Scansoriopteryx-heilmanni-A

A rainy scene featuring a group of Scansoriopteryx heilmanni, better known as the "aye-aye dinosaur", from Liaoning, China.
From left to right: a male, an immature, three females (with an albino one) and a male. I imagine a different fluff pattern between males and females.

Difficult for me to make it better, as I see about without relief.

First of all:
This is so beautiful!!! Composition works very well, there is so much detail, and it was amazingly put together! You pay very much attention to the details of it all! I love it!!!
Second of all:
I love that your paleoart isn't just a picture of a dinosaur, or a drawing of a bone, or just a dino doing something he does everyday. Your drawings are so great because there is EMOTION in this dinoart. You can feel it, it isn't expressionless or indifferent, but rather, there is feeling, emotion, and theme to it...It is like you have a story to tell or a theme to explain! I love that you do this and it is so artistic!

Many thanks.
Yeah, I tend to put much emotion into all my drawings, paleoart included. In that way it's a bit like ~kyoht or ~ mirroreyesserval
Some like it, others don't.
Thanks for all the fav's anyway!

Nice, warm reunion! Good work, once again! Question; what is that plant they`re under? Or is some type of fungus? Very thick leaf!

I've imagined some kind of big fern like an Asplenium or whatnot: [link]
Thanks!

Oooh poor chicks... they really dislike the rain.
I like the fact they are hiding under the leaf: it makes it easier for people who don't know the dinosaur to undertand its size.

Really a well done scene.

Actually many animals try to shelter when it's raining.

Yeah, the vegetation is there to show the size of the critters.
Thanks!

This reminds me of a documentary on ring-tailed lemurs I saw once (the albino youngster woke up dead one morning T-T). Damn, but they're cute. And you really scored with the differential plumage on the males and females.

You should make a print of this.

Little fluffy coelurosaurs are always cute. Cute but toothy! :D
Yeah, albino never live that long in the Nature, but well I like albino critters.

I'm planning a self-product with my paleoart.

Thanks for the fav!

Yeah, but the albino lemur had actually been doing pretty well, then just turned up dead one morning. Cause of death: probably had something to do with his blue eyes. For some reason, albino lemurs with blue eyes just tend to die like that. We don't know why.
