Chapter 1: A Rainy Day

Hello, it's me Red the Pokemon Trainer. You may wonder how Lucas and I met and became friends. Well, our story goes back years. I am going to explain. It was long ago, I believe the season was Spring. I was 4 years old and Lucas was 2 years old. That day was one of the best days of my life.

It began with a spring rain. The rain was heavy but it was a Spring Rain.I had my red rain hat, coat and boots on. I arrived at the preschool where this all begins. The classes were separated by age group. Lucas was in the 2-3 age group and I was in the 4-5 age group. However, we would become fast friends that day.

Even though it was rainy, we went out to play in the puddles. I got to make a paper boat during our crafts segment. I saw a small boy in a yellow raincoat and boots. He was younger than me with blonde hair. He was fascinated by my boat. We let it run through a small river for a while. It was fun on that rainy day. I saw that his name was Lucas because it was written in marker on his raincoat. He also had a paper boat so we raced boats. To my surprise, his boat won.

After that, the day was over. I said goodbye to Lucas and we hugged. My mom got me and I went home that night. I was glad to finally meet someone even though we were in separate age groups. They did allow us to see each other sometimes though. It was my first time meeting Lucas.
