The raven and the wolf

were talking in the woods

late one Autumn night.

The raven had a message

for those who lived by moonlight.

The Silver Maiden wished to speak

to those within her sight.

The wolf howled and knew

it was going to be alright.

He howled so clearly

and had tears in his eyes.

She appeared in the moonlight

in a clearing where nothing ever dies.

The wolf entered the clearing so blessed

free of all falsehoods and lies.

The light of the stars

fell down to the Earth

and the moon grew twice it's size.

I am the Maiden

I am the moon.

The stars are my children

I've been searching for you.

I am your Mother

the light is with you.

There are important things to do.

The Moon Maiden's children will call to the sky.

A way that the stars remind you and I

That even at times when things have gone dark

It's always okay to cry.
