I haven't really decided on keeping the carpet.  Was thinking the solid glossy floor like in the Kelvin verse, just because. I did want to do something different than my usual solid grey flooring from the Destroyer and Connie though. It did render out nicely.

I'm not sure on keeping so much blue though. Maybe a grey for the big panels on the walls and ceiling tiles?  Meh.

How about shag carpet on the floor and halfway up the walls and tie-dye prints for the upper walls.

What??  :-P

No no, this is not the hippie commune ship that the Enterprise rescued in TOS. LOL

The floor looks like real deck-plating and not carpet.  I prefer the deck-plating.  Nice!!

Heh. Industrial style carpet was apparently the way to go! LOL.

Thanks!

I remember TNG had that carpet and even ST5 had it too.  In ST6, they had that deck plating which seemed more logical for a space ship.  And deck plating is more "Spacey" to me.  I think the utilitarian look of STAR WARS capital ships is one reason why I Love STAR WARS also.  The Submarine look like on STAR TREK: ENTERPRISE is a great way to go, in my own opinion.  But a civilian ship would have more luxurious materials, most likely for sale purposes.  So, you seem to be correct in using that here.

I wouldn't call that particular carpet... luxurious. lol. But yeah, totally what I'm going for

I just meant that any kind of carpet would be more luxurious compared to cold, metal deck plating.  Just by comparison.  The carpet would probably be easier on peoples feet and backs too.  Like you had said about walking on concrete too much hurt your legs, I think it was.

Yeah walking and working on concrete floors for 17 plus years really did a number on my legs. Part of why I thought the civilian version would go for something pleasing to the foot. Plus, if I was an owner of this ship I'd want to be able to walk barefoot through the corridors if I felt like it and not have cold feet. ;)  Granted, there are going to be areas without carpet, but still. It's basically your home if you're an owner/operator.

I understand.  Agreed.
