Roommates - Such Stuff as Dreams Are Made On 41

I am rather fond of the idea that every magical "court" has a theme. Some purview, if you will, that abstractly frames it. Jadis is, obviously, Winter. The Erlkonig is currently balancing somewhere between Summer, Forest, and Night. The Goblins are "unwanted".

Erik belongs to Leroux and Webber.
Jareth and Sarah belong to Henson, Lucas, Bowie and Connelly.
Norrington belongs to Disney, Bruckheimer, and Davenport.
Javert belongs to Hugo, Boublil, Schonberg, and Kretzmer.
Jadis belongs to Lewis.
Erlkönig is a mythological character and belongs to everyone and no one.

Binging again. I still love this concept for the Goblin Kingdom. Everything that was wished away, everything without a home.

I'm curious what you theorize happens to a character in your afterlife comic when they die, if they've already died before in canon. Do they just cease to be? :) Been on my mind lately. And this is one of my favorite pages.

Jareth is awesome. And Jamie is clueless (but adorable).

Can Javert just somewhat-at-least-finally-for-once-actually APPRECIATE HIS ROOMMATE NOW? Because that's been lacking before... I don't think even our sometime "marble-hearted informer" could be unaffected by all this.

"Did we lose?"
"...Yes, Jamie, we almost did."
"We lost you."
"You-"

I very much love the idea of the "themed" kingdoms. And I must say, The Kingdom of the Unwanted has a great deal of potential.

Jareth better get a hug. Like, from everyone.
This comic is made of win.

That's what the Goblin Kingdom was, after all, wasn't it? A place for the unwanted. At least, that's what I think. Nobody likes Goblins (in the world) right? So, there was a place for them to be, a refuge, in all its Hoggle-peeing-statues and random chicken glory. And Jareth was its king.
You seriously are, like, an abnormally awesome person.

Headcanon accepted (about the theme of goblins being unwanted, and that being the theme of Jareth's court. Considering Bowie's character interpretation that Jareth is a reluctant king, it's practically canon). And it makes sense why his friendships are as strong as they are, being made of the unwanted (so to speak. We want all of them.).
