Roommates 44 - Roadtripping

Erik made the mistake of never saying that he *didn't* have a license. As amusing as it is to imagine him failing the driver's test because he tried to run down Raoul, I can also picture him up to his elbows in grease and oil while taking apart a combustion engine. I also see him being able to drive all sorts of unusual vehicles, just because he picked up the knowledge *somewhere* on his travels.

(Because we all just need the image of him mushing a dogsled or on a hot air balloon...)

Erik belongs to Leroux and Webber.
Jareth belongs to Henson, Lucas, and Bowie.
Norrington belongs to Disney, Bruckheimer, and Davenport.
Javert belongs to Hugo, Boublil, Schonberg, and Kretzmer.
Oz and associated material belongs to Baum, Arlen, and Harburg.

Don't worry, Jamie! Dear Mr. Davenport got his fair share of showtunes starring in Smash (though, regrettably, he was never the one singing said tunes).

Consider the complex mechanical nature of his torture room and other things he built. He was a genius in umpteen dozen fields. yes, I think driving would be as natural to him as breathing.

Given how much he's traveled, I don't see him getting so lost so easily, though.
Although, arguably, Jareth is one of the best singers there...

But Jareth is a good singer...let him sing.
How ıs Erık drıvıng? He's from the 19th century. He dosen't have a lıcense. Unless he went and got one.

Erik's got the most technical and mechanical sense. I figure of all of them, he'd be the one to figure it out.

Mechanical sense, sure...but in DEMOLITIONS.  I'm not sure precision-dropping ceiling mounted lighting fixtures directly translates to driving a car...

I think Jareth is gonna get seriously hurt if he doesn't stop singing soon

Quite possibly.

Oh, now I understand the symbols, finally! French Flag is Javert; tricorn hat is James Norrington; mask is Erik (:squee:); and the crystal ball is Jareth. I knew it would end up being Erik in the driver's seat since even though his book got published maybe 75 years after Les Mis, he has had more versions made of his story than Norrington, Jareth, and Javert put together.

He's also the most mechanically minded. If any of them could figure it out, it's him.

It's true. He designed elaborate torture chambers and labyrinths in Persia. What's one little automobile?

"Where the ever-loving coda..." I love Erik's musical expressions!

I'm glad you enjoy them.

The ever loving coda?
AsheRhyder's avatar
Well, it seemed like a good idea at the time.
moonlightsorceress1's avatar
no it is. It's actually really funny. I was just a little preoccupied at the moment

Glad you enjoyed!

Well, it's a great comic! I'm also amazing with your work!...How many people say they wished they lived where these guys lived?
AsheRhyder's avatar
Quite a few... others say its fun to watch, but probably best to enjoy from a distance. Things tend to explode.
