I got a wee bit carried away with this piece. let's just say my computer hates me....alot. T_T The file's so big it takes around 15 mins to save. ^^; I have one other element to add...the tail..but my computer said no..not tonight lol. This piece actually has multiple ideas incorporated in it...I have two old pieces that I wanted to try and play up on and update:
and
I think I've come a long way from my first vectors, and I hope to keep improving.
Hmm... a little bit about the piece...I meant it to be a clash between Chinese New Years and Valentine's Day, So she's Chinese Cupid. :giggle: The tiger was initially suppose to be pink...but it really didn't work the way I wanted it to. The arrows in the quiver are actually colored differently for a reason. I didn't just go nuts with the colors like usual. Each represents a rose color with it's intended meaning:

Red roses: Proclaim "I love you." They are the ultimate symbol of romantic love and enduring passion.

Yellow roses: Indicate friendship and freedom.

Pale pink roses: Denote grace, gentleness, and gratitude.

Light Pink Roses: A joy to behold, light pink roses express fun and happiness.

Lilac roses: Indicate the sender has fallen in love at first sight with the recipient and is enchanted.

Pure white roses: Symbolize truth and innocence.

Coral roses: Express one thing with their passionate color: Desire.

Orange roses: Communicate enthusiasm and desire on the part of the sender.

Cupid and Eros stood beneath a cherry tree...the last embers of the day burned beyond the horizon.
"I'll pierce a thousand or more hearts today," Cupid cooed. She grabbed the scruff of Eros's mighty chin and rubbed through his blushed fur gently, "though some of those arrows may stray, and some of those arrows will break and their head points dull away, I know that one day those arrows will find their mark. Let us re-quiver our arrows and try for yet another morning. As the sun rises day after day, so will my arrows and the affections they bring. Love will always find it's way"

I don't remember if I leave a comment before, when I originally favourited this -- but
this is truly beautiful, and very inspirational for me to improve my own vector artwork
and to get the tiger ideas in my head actually created. Keep up the amazing work!

This is a vector? :omg:

I love how thoughtful you were with the meaning of the colors.

How about a Hindu take on this?

"The immensely powerful Durga is the Mother as protector. Traditionally depicted as shining with spiritual energy and tender compassion, she seems at first the gentlest of feminine aspects. Then you notice that she is riding a tiger, and that in each of her many arms she carries a weapon."

LOL OK a bit of a stretch, I know, but it's interesting how I came upon your image just minutes after reading the above quote.
