I, for one, like the fact that the two guys are very dark, or in the shadow, and the background is so light. It looks like you manipulated it, and since you didn't, that's extra impressive!

Yeah they weren't lifelong bums, but they didn't have homes (making them homeless) and had been living "on the streets" for months. No job, no rent, no food, but otherwise pretty much just like you and me.

Yeah I agree about the weatherman thing; that's not at all what I intended :) (Smile)

They certainly appear to be very warmly dressed homeless guys. A good thing, but I wouldn't have guessed their situation by looking at this picture.

i think it might have looked better if they weren't standing under the bridge in the shadows. they looks kinda like how the weather man looks when he stands in front of the blue screen with the cityscape on it.

Wow. I love how dark they come off against that foggy looking white city backdrop. Its great how you still got their faces lit enough to come out well, without making the picture too light altogether.

Thanks. They chose the position and it occured to me that they would be in shade under the bridge, but I tried to make sure they were at least partially lit by some rays of sun. It did the trick with the faces and although the scene as a whole still has too much contrast, I didn't really expect it to come out this under/overexposed. Ah well, I still like the end result.

Well done on retaining detail in the faces without loosing the background. :-) (Smile)
