verunec: yes I have lately been consciously heading in the direction of capturing 2D texture as essentially paintings (eg. Windows onto the Canal [link] Fallen [link] Framed [link] Bike in Herndon Road [link] Trash [link] Shadwell 6 [link] Shadwell 7 [link]) so it's interesting to hear you say that. I think I may have heard of/seen the guy you mention .. or perhaps the guy I'm thinking of is French, I think he did some shots of movie posters etc in Paris? Don't remember. Anyway I like this direction and will probably be shooting more of that kind of shot.

Kalayl is right. Could be interesting.
But I prefer another way to use this king of urban stuff: there is an italian photographer, I don't remember his name, who use graffitis, murals and wall advertises (old and teared) to get a kind of very abstract and informal photos, like as they do the 'informal' painters. In fact he often use to add some signs on the printings with traditional brushes and colors. Very interesting indeed, a real misx between photography and painting. Your shot remind me as well at his style. But there is too much composition here :) (Smile)

It's a nice capture ash - and it's just given me a great idea. Wouldn't it be interesting from a documentary point of view to go and photograph that same wall every now and then and observe if/how often it changed and a new "vomsa" came along?
